Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Austria: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing market on the Android platform in Austria saw varying trends among the top five apps, according to Sensor Tower data.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting with approximately 2.2K and peaking at 2.6K towards the end of December. Its weekly active users began at around 52K, dipping to 37.4K in October, before recovering to 62.4K in mid-December.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a steady download pattern, with an increase from 1.5K in early October to over 2.5K by the end of the quarter. However, its active user base decreased from 33.5K to 24.9K over the same period.

For Grab - Taxi & Food Delivery, downloads rose consistently, ending the quarter at around 500. Active users mirrored this positive trend, increasing from 17.9K to 19.5K.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus maintained stable download numbers, with a slight uptick to 495 in late December. Active users also saw a gradual increase, peaking at 4.6K mid-quarter.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares had modest download numbers, moving from 112 to 184 by December’s end. Its active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 800 throughout the quarter.
